10 — Frequently Asked Questions

This means the system could not find an active rate for your exact combination of destination, cargo type, and truck/container option. The KILFAD transit team will review your request and contact you with a manual quotation. You do not need to resubmit.

Yes. From your dashboard, click the Re-quote option next to any previous enquiry. The form will be pre-filled with the same details, which you can adjust before submitting.

Kuwait does not accept 4 Ton trucks for transit movements under current operational conditions. The minimum truck size for Kuwait is 6 Ton for normal cargo, and 10 Ton for Reefer cargo.

The standard documentation required is:

  • Commercial Invoice (copy)
  • Packing List (copy)
  • Bill of Lading (sea) or Air Waybill (air) — must reflect the Notify Party as EFS Company Limited
  • Certificate of Origin — if the destination country requires it

Your quotation PDF contains full instructions for how the B/L or AWB must be annotated for transit.

Option 1 — Same Container (FCL): Your cargo travels in the same container it arrived in. The container is bonded and transported directly by road to the destination. A Shipping Line NOC (No Objection Certificate) is required before the container departs Saudi Arabia.

Option 2 — Cross Stuffing: Your cargo is unloaded from the shipping container and repacked into a closed box road trailer. This avoids the need for an NOC but the cargo is subject to 100% customs inspection at the bonded area.

Sea to Land: Approximately 3–6 days depending on border and customs conditions.
Air to Land: Approximately 2–4 days depending on border and customs conditions.

Lead times are indicative and may be affected by customs delays, border congestion, or force majeure events outside KILFAD's control.

No. Cargo insurance is not included in the quotation rates. Customers are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive cargo insurance covering the full commercial value of the shipment. Upon request, KILFAD Logistics can assist in arranging cargo insurance through approved partners at competitive market rates.

Contact the KILFAD Transit Team directly. When you confirm a quotation, the team is automatically notified and will reach out to you. For urgent enquiries or shipments that require a manual quote, the team will contact you at the email and phone number provided in your account.
